Amazing little counter service Italian deli. Your basic cold and hot sandwiches made on the perfect bread with homemade sides available in multiple sizes. Really did love this place and will be making myself a regular!

The food was good but I was really distracted by the female owner??who prepared sandwiches and handled money simultaneously without wearing gloves. And no one wore hair nets or hats ☹ they clearly need a refresher course in food handling.

I’ve known the Casella’s since they first opened up . Joe catered my sisters wedding. Never had a bad meal there and I’m talking about going all the way back to the 70s after Johns Pharmacy closed there was no place to eat on the Granite Reefe/ McDonald corner.I wish Joe and his family well and he is in our prayers👍

Absolutely incredible experience! I did go when Larry Fitzgerald covered everyone's meal 😆 The staff was amazing and enthusiastic, Not to mention how energetic and happy Joe was😍😆😁 Even the people in line were great. I got there early but they were still running out of the stuff that people recommended (chicken salad sandwich, desserts, and 🤔 well almost everything I asked for lol) I love the staff I asked a lady to surprise me especially because I am new. She did and WOWZA 😍 the meatball is awesome which btw I'm not a fan of meatball. I can't wait to go back to try so many things 😆😆😆

Nice staff, just very slow. Went for lunch today, took 30 min to get my take-out order of 3 simple subs (which cost $30). Subs were adequate but for some reason they didn't put any Italian dressing on my Italian sub.. hmm. Anyway, if you like 70's decor and super slow but nice service then you'll like this place.

I love to eat here, I love introducing my friends to this place. If you want a hot or cold sandwich or a divine plate of spaghetti, it doesn’t get any better than Casella’s. How can these people know so many of their customers names. In the 20 minuites I was here I saw the woman address like 9 customers that walked in the door by name. The food was great but seriously the attention to customers here is like unheard of.

This place is a blessing in the Valley and to meet Joe, Denise and Lisa was a bonus. The food is fresh nothing ever sits. To go here is a must! Happy 40th!

Cash only family run for 40 years down home delicious unpretentious Italian lunch and dinner joint. It's definitely in my lunch rotation when working in the area, and sometimes grab it to take home for dinner. Give it a try, but don't bring your debit card. **The meatballs are extra noteworthy.

Staff is always so kind, they treat you like family. I have been coming here for the past 15 years and every single time my order was as amazing as it was the previous. I come in so often all I have to do is walk in and they go "your regular?" I have gotten the same thing since before I can remember and I can never get enough of it. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Staff is very friendly. It's obvious the family cares about their business and their customers' experience. I was greeted immediately and asked if I was a first timer. Since I was a first timer, I was told that everything is home-made and made to order. Based on other reviews, I was torn between the meatball sub and the cheese steak. I got the cheese steak and a side of meatballs. And the cookies that others have raved about. Everything was delicious. I'll definitely be going back.

This place has been family run for over 30 years. The subs are always freshly prepared and the meatball is a favorite of mine. Don't forget to check out all the sides. Need something for dinner their lasagna is something you will come back for. Cash only so be prepared.

This is a Family owned business that shows us how beautiful they work together to give their customers the best food and awesome service. They treat everyone that comes into their establishment like family, teasing and lots of humor. We get their sandwiches and crave them when they close for a holiday.!! We LOVE them!!!!

Strong staple Italian Sub shop in Scottsdale!! Been around for years and years, family owned operated. They are well known for being remarkable and personal with customers... somehow it’s as if they know you by name. Very generous people. Word is ...the chicken salad and Philly cheese steak sub is what they are famous for. ( unlike in Philly.. they will ask you if you want their famous red sauce... in which those around me all strongly motioned I should say YES!!)
